Giving Tuesday gratitude: Thank you for helping to support students

Thanks to the generosity of 21 donors, we raised more than $2,000 for the department’s Excellence Fund throughout November, leading up to Giving Tuesday on Nov. 30.
The Excellence Fund is used for activities that build community within the ECEE student body. ChairChris Myerssaid he’s thankful for the support from alumni and friends of the department.
“As the department and campus work toward a student-centered approach to learning, support from our donors helps us provide for the well-being and success of all of our undergraduate and graduate students,” he said. “We couldn’t be more thankful for the support of the ECEE community.”
More than across the College of Engineering and Applied Science during the Giving Tuesday campaign, far exceeding the initial goal of $30,000. Mechanical engineering alumnus John Mollenkopf also provided a matching donation of $25,000.
