Q&A

What made you decide to pursue a degree or certificate in Engineering Management?
I wanted a good balance of technical and management classes that would help me become a well-rounded leader of engineers in the future.

Why did you choose the Engineering Management Program at CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ?
The CU program seemed to give me the best value for the cost. The ability to complete the program entirely online was also a plus.

How did the program help you in your career?
The program helped me to better understand business decision making with other non-engineering functions in mind. I also grew as an individual through courses like Ethics, Leading Oneself, and Leading Others.

What was your favorite graduate EMEN class/professor? Why?
I really liked Ethics with Dan Moorer because he was constantly challenging us to question our own beliefs. Self-reflection is a critical skill in today’s world.

What advice would you give a new student in the program?
You get out of it what you put in. It might be possible to skate by with online learning, but applying oneself will produce the best outcome.

How would you summarize your experience with the program?
Very pleased with the professors, the course materials, and the easy of use for the online interface. Overall is was a great experience and one that I would highly recommend.
