ME-EM on Coursera Curriculum
The ME-EM is an online master's degree designed to prepare the next generation of working professionals for career advancement in leadership and management in the engineering and technical sectors.
Academic Overview
Core curriculum addresses the business basics of communication; project management; finance and accounting; and leadership.
This degree is designed for professionals who are:
- Junior to mid-level managers who are looking to gain business and management skills to advance their careers
- Looking for flexible and convenient learning opportunities that fit into their busy professional and personal lives
- Looking for practical skills that they can apply immediately
- Looking for course content and materials designed specifically for engineering and technical environments
Coursework
The ME-EM requires a minimum of 30 credit hours of approved, degree-eligible graduate-level coursework and a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0. Courses in which grades of C+ or below are received may not be applied toward the degree but will count toward the cumulative GPA (no more than three credits of C+ can be applied toward degree program requirements).
You must complete 12 credits of core coursework in finance, project management, authentic leadership, and communication and 18 credits of elective coursework across a variety of topic areas, including technology entrepreneurship, product development, ethical decision-making, and more.
All EMEA courses on Coursera count towards the ME-EM. The curriculum also permits additional elective courses. Up to 9 credits of courses offered by CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ's Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MS-EE) on Coursera, Master of Science in Computer Science (MS-CS) on Coursera and Master of Science in Data Science (MS-DS) on Coursera, may be applied as elective credits toward the ME-EM degree. Courses must be graduate-level and meet all applicable academic standards. Courses may not be double-counted toward two credentials of the same level. Only courses offered through Coursera may be used.

- Select up to 9 credits from all courses offered by CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ's MS-ECEE on Coursera, the MS-CS on Coursera, and the MS-DS on Coursera programs.
