Biography
Eirian is currently an Analyst Developer with the New Zealand eScience Infrastructure with experience as a backend software developer; property management and real estate investor and digital marketing consultant. Eirian earned an ME in Engineering Management/Computer Science dual degree and graduate certificate and is also a PhD candidate and business school research assistant.

What made you decide to pursue a degree or certificate in Engineering Management?
I just wanted to see what it was all about.
Why did you choose the Engineering Management Program at CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ?
I wanted an ME in computer science and saw there was a dual degree program so I applied.
How did the program help you in your career?
It opened up a lot of career possibilities and gave me a breadth of expertise.
What was your favorite graduate EMEN class/professor? Why?
Too hard to pick. Angela Thieman Dino, John Svoboda, and Professor Dan Moorer. Angela taught me how to get to know myself which has helped me a lot with interpersonal communication. John showed me how interested I was in marketing. Professor Moorer said I had a lot of courage and that’s stuck with me especially when I have stress or am starting something new.
What advice would you give a new student in the program?
You get as much out of it as you put in. Do the readings and take Canvas discussions seriously.
How would you summarize your experience with the program?
It’s the most valuable degree I’ve ever done.
