(Summer 2017 Interns) Staff Engineers/Scientists

Job Description:

A Denver based, global provider of water treatment solutions is seeking multiple summer Intern Engineers/Scientists for research & development. Candidates must have passion and enjoyment for science and technology. This is a tremendous opportunity for those looking to learn the science behind complex water treatment technologies.

Science will focus around water testing, photochemistry, biological testing, redox reactions, and data analysis. Engineering will focus on dosing schedules, hydraulic networks, pilot testing, product development, and application design. Work will be conducted in Denver laboratory and may include some field work.Ìý All tasks are mentored by senior staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct experiments and testing of products.
  • Assist design engineers and fabricate prototypes.
  • Document results and generate lab reports.
  • Analyses of raw and processed data.
  • Academic research and technical writing.

Requirements:

  • Average GPA of 3.5 or better for last three completed semesters.
  • Candidates must be able to work in multidiscipline teams
  • Obtaining an engineering or life science degree.
  • Must have completed Calculus 1 & 2, Chemistry 1, and Physics 1 & 2.Ìý Engineers must have taken fluid dynamics or hydraulics.
  • Positions are full-time (40 hours per week), which may include a rotating Saturday. Internship will run from about mid/late May to late July/early August.
  • Applicants must live within 1 hour of laboratory
  • ÌýProficient with Excel and Word; AutoCAD a plus

Compensation:

  • $12-15/hr.
