New Faculty Orientation
The Office of Faculty Affairs welcomes all new CU «Ƶ tenure-track, teaching, and clinical faculty through its New Faculty Orientation (NFO) programming, held annually a week before the first day of the semester.
The 2024 New Faculty Orientation (NFO) was held on Aug. 19, bringing together new faculty members for a day of learning and connection. You can read about the event highlights in the latest CU «Ƶ Today article.
Looking ahead, mark your calendars for the 2025 NFO scheduled for Thursday, August 14, 2025. Stay tuned for more details as we prepare to welcome another cohort of new faculty!
Thriving at CU Series
A monthly workshop series for tenure-track, teaching, and clinical faculty who are in their first three years at CU «Ƶ. Meet other new faculty and get your questions answered! Participation in at least 8 “Thriving at CU” sessions over your first three years will earn you a faculty development certificate. These sessions are not recorded to create a comfortable environment for open, candid discussions and engagement. Thriving at CU covers the following content areas:

- Thriving in the First Year: What I Wish I Had Known (Individual sessions for and )
- Thriving in the Classroom: Handling Challenges
- Thriving in Research and Creative Work: Resources to Support You as a Scholar
- Thriving as a Mentor: Supporting our Students
