Abstract:
This week’s colloquium is a book launch event hosted by the Teresa Lozano Long Institute of Latin American Studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Radical Cartographies substantive chapters are written by Indigenous and Afro-descendent authors. Shedding light on the innovative uses of participatory mapping emerging from Latin America’s marginalized communities, this diverse collection reconceptualizes what maps mean as representations of identity and place.
