The REEES Short Stories Reading Group meets in Macky 223 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month during the regular academic year to discuss works of short fiction by Russian authors of the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries. Occasionally the group has taken on a work of more significant length—Tolstoy's War and Peace in 2012-13 and Anna Karenina in 2014-15. The group is a diverse one, made up of current and former students (both Russian and non-Russian majors), and interested members of the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ community. The meetings are informal and fun—no knowledge of Russian or previous experience with Russian literature is required; all texts are provided to participants via e-mail attachments. All are welcome!
