Joe Andenmatten serves as the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Operations & Compliance for Health and Wellness Services at the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ. In this role, he oversees compliance and risk management, clinical informatics, health information management, information technology, and environmental services. He also serves as the division’s Privacy Officer, ensuring adherence to privacy regulations and safeguarding sensitive information.

Since joining CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ in 2014, Joe has crafted policies, developed guidelines, and streamlined processes to foster operational excellence while promoting a person-centered approach across campus. His leadership has been instrumental in expanding healthcare access for students on Medicaid by enabling it as a billable insurance option for Health and Wellness Services, driving the development and adoption of a campus epinephrine auto-injector policy, and innovating the division’s incident reporting framework.

Prior to his current role, Joe held several leadership positions, including Director of Disability Services and the Student Testing Center. In these roles, he prioritized initiatives that advanced accessibility and inclusion for students with disabilities.

Joe holds a BA in history from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an MA in rehabilitation counseling from the University of Northern Colorado, and an MBA with a specialization in management from the University of Colorado Denver. He is also a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.
