Current Initiatives Dr. Doty is Working On 

 
Increasing availability and decreasing barriers to mental and physical healthcare

  • No cost, no insurance urgent care and mental health support.
  • Acceptance as a Medicaid provider.
  • Recognition of our support for LGBTQ+ students through a score of 100 on the Healthcare Equality Index 2024.

  
Living our commitment to the Okanagan Charter

  • Creation of a campus-wide strategic plan for well-being.
  • Mapping existing health and well-being services to identify gaps.
  • Establishing listening sessions for campus feedback on the areas of health and well-being.
     

  
Integrating wellness for CU employees

  • Establishment of the WorkWell office and resources.
  • Procurement of a well-being application to support employees.
  • Establishing Wellness Town Halls for fall 2024.

     

 
Establishing partnerships with academic colleges

  • Meeting with deans to discuss how to infuse well-being into the academic environment.
  • Building out Embedded Program.
  • Establishing a thriving Health and Wellness Living Learning Community with the College of Engineering and Applied Science.

Our mission is to prioritize student and employee success through advancing individual and community wellness through education and practice. Our strategic plan outlines our intended growth over the next three years.
