the Transcare Team
Who We Are
Gender transition involves many layers of social, emotional and physical change, which can have social, academic and financial impacts on many students. Our interdisciplinary team is designed to reduce barriers, improve access, manage financial impacts of care and address concerns using a holistic approach.
To best care for our students, the Transcare team covers and works collaboratively with a variety of disciplines, university departments and stakeholders, including but not limited to:
- Medical Services
- Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS)
- Behavioral Health
- Office of Victim Assistance (OVA)
- CU Pride Office
- CU Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic (SLHC)
Today, the Transcare team is a multidisciplinary team that encompasses primary care, counseling, psychiatry, behavioral health, trauma services, sexual and reproductive health, pride communities and the speech, language and hearing clinic on campus.
