Temporary Faculty and Lecturers
From time to time, the Herbst Program for Engineering, Ethics & Society may seek Lecturers to teach sections of ENES 1010: Humanity in a Technological Age and ENES 3100: Ethical Awareness for Engineers. These teaching roles are filled on an as-needed basis each semester.
The titles of Lecturer and Adjunct are given to individuals who teach on a course-by-course basis. Minimum requirements include:
- PhD in a humanities-related field or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience teaching small discussion-based seminars that include close examination of great works and active engagement in an iterative writing process.
The compensation range for these roles is $1,100-$8,400 per course depending on the teaching assignment and instructor qualifications.
As the Herbst Program is quite small, needs fluctuate substantially from semester to semester. Lecturers are not permanent employees and are hired on a semester-by-semester basis. This position is eligible for employee sick leave earned monthly on a prorated basis. For more information and open opportunities for permanent faculty positions, please visit CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Jobs.
