The next meeting of the UNA-BC Discussion Series will feature IAFS/PSCI Associate Professor Sarah Sokhey. The title of her session is “Ukrainian Local Democracy and the International Context.”

Dr. Sokhey is the founding Director of STUDIO Lab, a research program for A&S undergraduate students. Prior to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, she was affiliated with the Higher School of Economics in Moscow where she had regularly travelled and conducted research since 2002. Her current research focuses on the local provision of public goods and services in Ukraine. Since September 2023, she has been a co-organizer of the featuring Ukrainians and their work during wartime.
