We are at a crossroads, and we need your guidance in choosing our direction! The Applied History Initiative has successfully completed the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation grant, and we have secured funding to continue helping earlier and mid-career scholars make the most of their many talents. To chart a meaningful path forward, we need your voice.��Your candid and honest feedback is not optional—it’s essential.

We need to know what we did well and we need to know where we fell short. In truth, we are performing our own exercise in Applied History, drawing lessons from our own past to guide us in the future. 2. In the time that has passed since you participated in Applied History Initiative program(s), how has your sense of the roles that Applied History can play in your career evolved? Are there ways we can offer support in putting Applied History to work for you?

3. How did the Applied History experience improve your ability to convey to people —family, friends, acquaintances, fellow scholars, and practitioners in fields related to the subjects you study— the significance and relevance of your knowledge of history, particularly of your research?
