Joseph graduated from Stanford University before Charles moved to CU. After graduation, he took a position as a TCAD Engineer at Intel. After 2 years, he moved to Penguin Computing, where he quickly rose to the position of CTO and Director of Systems Engineering and Services. Later, he would hold positions at QuantumScape and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He is now CTO of Deep Valley Labs, a venture capital firm that assists scientists and engineers with spinning out companies from their research.
