Research Bio
My research is broadly focused on multi-scale computational modeling of electrochemical systems. I work closely with experimentalists to develop deep insight and rational handles for control and optimization of complex reactions. I utilize a variety of techniques such as grand canonical density functional theory, microkinetic modeling, continuum transport modeling, and some molecular dynamics work. My current projects include studying nitrate reduction, CO2Μύreduction, and integrated carbon capture and conversion systems.

My favorite thing to do depends on the season! I love to ski, trail run, and climb; however, in Colorado you can usually do all 3 in a weekend. I also enjoy baking bread, playing chess, learning about the plants and animals that live in the mountain west, and reading (my favorite
author is Octavia Butler).
