After Graduation
After graduation, Yousef returned to Saudi Arabia to accept a position as an assistant professor at the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. Youseld occasionally visits ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ and attends Musgrave group meetings. We wish Yousef all the best on his future endeavors!
Research Bio
My research focuses on applying Grand Canonical Density Functional Theory to study electrochemical systems, including surface reactions such as CO2 reduction, transition state calculations and effect of applied potential on catalyst surfaces. I focus on improving the theoretical understanding of electrochemical reactions to improve macroscopic materials properties and choose the optimum reaction conditions.

I have several things to do in my free time. I enjoy going to the gym for running and weightlifting. I also like watching the Spanish league and supporting my favorite team, Real Madrid. I enjoy cooking several kinds of dishes. I love tea, coffee and doing some latte-art with my espresso machine. I like traveling to several places such as seacoast, desert, and mountains. I love taking photos for the nature with my phone’s camera. I have visited several countries before coming to ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ. I like to monitor the Saudi stocks market and invest my money there.
