All aspects of PCB Manufacturing Processes

SAE Circuits is a manufacturing facilitythat produces bare printed Circuit boards (PCB). There are several departments that make up the total process. Some are wet processes (using chemicals) others are dry processes (Fabrication).

All processes have Manufacturing Work Instructions and Procedures that must be followed. Also the use of the production Traveler (Info and steps) is super important.

Looking for someone interested in learning the production flow, coming away with an appreciation of the detail and knowledge required to complete a PCB from - Incoming Data through Shipping. Would like someone to spend several days (or weeks), working in each process. Starting at the beginning and following through to the end of the manufacturing process.

In conjunction with this, I would like someone interested in Process Control to work directly with myself and the workers in the area to identify critical, measureable parameters and develop the beginnings of an SPC program.

  • Record Keeping/ Data Capture
  • Process/ Machine Learning and Running
  • CAM -> Material Preparation -> Lamination -> CNC Drilling -> Electroless Copper -> DryFilm Imaging -> Plating -> Screening -> Final Finish (Several) -> Fabrication -> Electrical Test -> Final Inspection -> Shipping
