Second Point of Entry

PLC recognizes the need for an application and selection process dedicated to rising sophomores, either already here at CU or as incoming transfer students.

Students Who Apply as Rising Sophomores...

  • May not have heard about PLC when they applied to CU as a freshman
  • Were selected as alternates for PLC but the class was full and unable to offer seats
  • May not have seen themselves as a good fit with the PLC program as an incoming freshman, but have since realized their desire to develop their leadership with the program
  • Are transferring into CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ after their freshman year at another school

If you identify with any of the reasons above, we strongly encourage you to apply as a Second Point of Entry student. PLC will offer a very limited number of openings in the incoming cohort for second point of entry applicants.

We encourage you to learn all you can about PLC from our website, your friends, and by dropping by our office in Norlin Library (M400E) to determine if the Presidents Leadership Class is the right program for you.

2nd Point of Entry Application Process

Your application for selection into PLC will be is accessible through your MyCUInfo portal. All applications will be submitted online. If you pass the initial review, and are invited to interview for a spot in PLC, you will be notified how to sign up and proceed through the process.

Continuing CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Students:

  • Log into your Buff portal
  • Go to Apply for Scholarships
  • Log into the AcademicWorks portal
  • Fill out the general scholarship application information and submit
  • Search under "Our Opportunities" for Second Point of Entry - Presidents Leadership Class (PLC)
  • Fill out all required questions and submit by February 15th

Transfer Students:

  • Apply to the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ
  • Once you have applied, you will have access to your MyCUInfo portal
  • Log into your MyCUInfo portal with your Identikey and password
  • Go to Apply for Scholarships
  • Log into the AcademicWorks portal
  • Fill out the general scholarship application information and submit
  • Search under "Our Opportunities" for Second Point of Entry - Presidents Leadership Class (PLC)
  • Fill out all required questions and submit by February 15th
