Large Room Usage Report
Reports By Term
Instructions
For fall and spring terms, please use the Large Room Usage report (above) as the basis for selecting your large room requests. This report shows room utilization for the previous like term based on enrollment numbers after the third week of classes.
Large room assignments are based on previous like term use of the classroom and proper utilization. Proper utilization for large classrooms is 75% or higher, MWF 9:05–4:25 p.m. and TTH 9:30–4:45 p.m. For all other hours, proper utilization for large classrooms is 60% or higher. If a class utilized its room at 75% or higher in the previous like term, it qualifies to have that room again at the same meeting time for the upcoming like term. Classes with utilization under 75% do not automatically qualify to have the same room for the upcoming like term, and those rooms could be considered for other classes. Be aware that if a class does not meet the minimum enrollment requirement of 88 students for three like semesters, the class may not be considered for a large room request.
Rooms listed below with ""CC"" in the notes column have classroom capture capability, and ""CC+"" denotes classroom capture with audience participation microphones. To request a room with classroom capture, please indicate this in the Comments to Academic Scheduling in CLSS. More information can be found on OIT's webpage.
