Transfer Credit Information Flags

Course Is Under Review

The following flags are used on transfer courses to display further action that might need to be taken. Students should pay special attention to these flags, as CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ may need additional information for review. Typically this information is submitted to the Admissions Transfer Credit Manager. Student Action Needed

  • CD – The course applies as generic credit within the discipline, but a course description is needed for CORE/GEN ED review. The student needs to provide the course description from the time period when they completed the course​. 
  • EQS â€“ The course applies as generic credit, but a syllabus is needed for equivalency review. The students needs to provide the syllabus from the time period when they completed the course.
  • ESY – The course applies as generic credit within the EDUC department, but a syllabus is needed for applicability review toward EDUC major requirements. If the student is pursuing an EDUC major, they need to provide the syllabus from the time period when they completed the course. 
  • PR – The course applies as generic credit within the discipline, but a portfolio is needed for review. The student needs to work with the department to arrange for the review.
  • SY – The course applies as generic credit within the discipline, but a syllabus is needed for CORE review. The student needs to provide the syllabus from the time period when they completed the course​. 
  • SYD – The course applies toward GEN ED requirements, but a syllabus is needed for diversity review. The student needs to provide the syllabus from the time period when they completed the course.
  • 8SY – The course applies as generic credit within the discipline, but a syllabus is needed for GEN ED review. The student needs to provide the syllabus from the time period when they completed the course.

No Student Action Needed

  • AA â€“ Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree earned at Colorado CC.
  • BA â€“ Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree earned at any institution.
  • ATY â€“ Course applies toward College of Arts & Sciences activity hours.
  • FAL â€“ Course was reviewed and will count as lower-division credit at CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ based on its similarity to other CU courses at that level. Does not count toward upper-division hours.
  • LDV â€“ Course was taught at the lower level and retains that academic level regardless of CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ equivalent. Does not count toward upper-division hours.
  • MR â€“ The course applies as generic music and needs to be reviewed for applicability. No further action is needed from the student at this time. 
  • NR â€“ The course applies as generic credit within the discipline and needs to be reviewed for equivalent. No further action is needed from the student at this time. 
  • SR â€“ Syllabus reviewed. Applicability and transferability decisions are final. No further action is needed from the student.
  • RC â€“ The course transfers and does not apply toward CORE/General Education. Upon arrival to CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, the student can see their academic advisor for a review toward major requirements.
  • UDV â€“ The course was taught at the upper level and retains the academic level regardless of CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ equivalent. Does count in upper-division hours.
  • 8RC â€“ The course transfers and does not apply toward General Education. Upon arrival to CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, the student should see their academic advisor for a review toward major requirements.
