HOW DO I JOIN COLORADO CLUB TENNIS?

In order to join the team, we recommend coming to our interest meeting at the beginning of the fallÌýsemester and tryout!

WHAT IS THE AVERAGE SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED TO MAKE THE TEAM?

There is no exact skill level required to make the team. However, the team is comprised mostly of players who have been playing for several years on their high school varsity teams and in USTA tournaments. Tryouts at the beginning of each semester determine who qualifies for the team, on average we take 50 players for the team.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE PRACTICES HELD?

For the Fall/Spring season practices are held Mon-Thurs at CU South Tennis Complex. During the Winter season practices are held Mon-Wed at RMTC in the bubble from 9-11 pm at night.ÌýThese practices are not mandatory; however, we encourage members to attend when they can. Practices are a great way to catch up with friends, meet new people, play your favorite sport, and de-stress.

HOW DO I GET TO CU SOUTH TENNIS COMPLEX?

There are many options to get to the courts – Ìýyou can either drive (if you have a car), ride your bike, take the bus, or ask someone else for a ride.

Directions:

(1) From ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵÌý- head toward Denver on Route 36 and exit onto Table Mesa Drive.

(2) Proceed by goingÌýstraight through the exit ramp light and onto a road called S Loop Drive.Ìý

(3) Travel down theÌýroad and turn right at the fork in the road, turning right again soon after at the green gate.

(4) Follow the gravel road until you see the tennis courts to your left and parking subsequently after.​

WHAT ARE THE DUES OR NECESSARY PAYMENTS TO BE A PART OF CU CLUB TENNIS?

    • Includes balls, court space, tournament fees, scrimmages, hotel costs, club t-shirt, uniform,Ìýsocials.

HOW MUCH OF A TIME COMMITMENT IS CLUB TENNIS?

Practices are held weekly,Ìýand we travel to tournaments monthly. All practices and tournaments are NOT MANDATORY, so it is often easily balanced with school or other extracurricular activities.
