Within the Division of Student Affairs there are eight departments designated as Shared Services. These centralized departments were established to ensure consistent and efficient use of resources to support the overall mission and operations of the division. They understand and advocate for the unique needs of the division and its departments while implementing and upholding campus and system-wide policies and guidance.

Shared Services Departments

Student Affairs Business Services provides information, resources and support services in the areas of procurement, travel and reimbursements.

Student Affairs Communication and Marketing collaborates with division departments to create strategic and engaging marketing and communication campaigns and materials.

Student Affairs Finance is a centralized service center for the Division of Student Affairs that provides support in all financial and accounting areas.

Student Affairs HR provides information and resources to support SA staff, including performance management, professional development and more.

Student Affairs Information Technology (SAIT) provides technology leadership and support to the Division of Student Affairs.

The Office of Planning, Assessment and Data Analytics offers consultation, guidance, reporting, professional development and more for the Division of Student Affairs.

Student Affairs Policy and Compliance is a centralized service for the Division of Student Affairs. We provide advice and guidance around policy development, policy compliance and risk reduction.

The Student Affairs Project Management Office (SA PMO) provides support and guidance to Student Affairs departments. They work with departments to organize, facilitate and complete projects. 

What we do

  • Bring operational expertise to create structures, resources and compliant solutions for consistency and efficiency, allowing student- and campus-serving departments to focus on their missions.
  • Support the division’s strategic and fiscally responsible management of resources to ensure we can provide the best services, programs and facilities to enhance student success and retention.
  • Serve as liaisons to central campus units outside of the division to incorporate and build on-campus and system guidelines and ensure the work of the division aligns with broader campus efforts, while advocating on behalf of the unique needs and operations of the division.
  • Provide assessment, guidance, skill development and services to enhance operations of departments within the division. 

While some Shared Services departments may also provide direct services to students and the campus community, our primary focus is to support departments and staff within the division.
