Economics Professor Keith Maskus has been named chief economist for the U.S. Department of State. Maskus, a professor of distinction who also was the director of CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ’s Program on International Development, is beginning the two-year appointment — based in Washington, D.C. — this month.

We made several changes in response the last survey, three years ago, and this year’s results showed big improvements. This year’s survey demonstrated some consistent themes about where we’re succeeding and where we need to improve.
