Text messages are accepted by ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ County’s four 9-1-1 dispatch centers, including the CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Police Department. While this is a great feature, there are only specific times and reasons to use this type of emergency communication.

More than 100 middle and high school students from ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ County are joining 35 undergraduates Friday to tour campus and participate in workshops with community and campus organizations to address public issues impacting their communities. The students are part of the Public Achievement (PA) program, a youth-led civic engagement initiative promoting student voice and transformative change.

All campus offices can now purchase high-quality carbon offsets easily and at a great rate through the Environmental Center. In order to centralize efforts in mitigating climate footprints, any campus department can purchase carbon offsets for travel, conferences, day-to-day use, employee commuting or large purchases easily via an online purchasing form.

Course to take students through the creepy craft of horror writing

Building suspense, scaring readers and incorporating gore, disgust and revulsion into fiction plots. Students will examine these elements of writing during a Winter Session course that's open to the public, led by Stephen Graham Jones, acclaimed horror writer and professor. Part of the class will take place at the famous Stanley Hotel, said by some to be haunted.
