The CU-ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ MBA entrepreneurship program was rated 16th in the nation in a ranking of graduate entrepreneurship programs released April 2 by U.S. News & World Report magazine. The ranking placed CU-ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ's MBA entrepreneurship program among the top 20 in the nation along with Harvard, Stanford, UCLA, MIT, Northwestern and the University of Pennsylvania.

CU-ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Graduate Programs Cited Among Nation's Best By Magazine

The University of Colorado at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ's environmental law program is ranked fourth in the nation in a ranking of selected graduate programs released today by U.S. News and World Report magazine. CU-ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ's environmental law program moved up from a ranking of fifth in the nation in 2000. Overall, CU's School of Law was tied for a ranking of 38th out of 174 accredited law schools, up from 45th place last year.

Search Committee Named For Diversity Director At CU College Of Business

Nobel Laureate Eric Kandel To Lecture At CU-ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ April 11

Dr. Eric Kandel, winner of the 2000 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine, will lecture on "The Past, the Future and the Biology of Memory Storage" at the University of Colorado at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ on Wednesday, April 11. The 8 p.m. talk in Macky Auditorium is free and open to the public. The 36th George Gamow Memorial Lecture is intended for a general audience of non-scientists.

Fiske Planetarium To Explore Question Of Life In The Universe

Newly discovered evidence of planets orbiting other stars, and future strategies in the quest for extra-solar planets will be examined during "Is Life Common in the Universe," a live show at the University of Colorado at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ's Fiske Planetarium on Friday, April 6, and Tuesday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m. Astrophysical and planetary sciences Professor John Bally will show the planetarium audience recent observations of newly-forming stars and the planetary systems that are developing around them.

Schools Invited To Apply For Free Drug Prevention Program Administered By CU-ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ

Middle and junior high schools are invited to apply for three free years of training, technical assistance and materials to implement an exemplary program, Life Skills Training, which has been proven to reduce drug abuse and prevent violence. The program will be funded at 35 sites nationwide by a $4 million federal grant received by CU-ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ's Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence. The funding is provided by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, a division of the U.S. Department of Justice.

Peace Activist And Pediatrician Helen Caldicott To Speak At CU

Dr. Helen Caldicott, a world-renowned activist recognized for her opposition to the threat of global warfare, will speak at the University of Colorado at ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ on April 5 on "The Ever Present Threat of Nuclear War." A pediatrician, Caldicott is speaking as part of the Gustavson Memorial Distinguished Lecture Series, established in honor of former professor, dean and acting CU President Reuben G. Gustavson. The event is sponsored by CU-ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ and the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences, or CIRES.

Michael Moore To Speak April 3 In CU Student-Sponsored Event
