ATLAS PhD student's game wins "Best Remix" award at Public Domain Game Jam

Julia Uhr's game, "There are No Eyes Here," received the Best Remix award at the third annual Public Domain Game Jam. The painting-based puzzle utilizes elements of Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky paintings as levers, and players locate the elements they can manipulate to complete each stage.

The workshop is part of Moreno’s graduate research in the Department of Information Science’s Creative Communities group, funded under an NSF award (NSF-2005702) titled, “Tinkering and Making Strategies to Engage Children and Families in Creating with Code.â€

The device translates input from custom-built flexible sensor whisker devices that receive tactile information from objects in the user's immediate environment.

Assistant Professor Dan Szafir to co-chair the ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction (HR2021)

HRI 2021, which will be held virtually March 8-11, is the 16th annual conference for basic and applied human-robot interaction research. Researchers from across the world present their best work to HRI to exchange ideas about the theory, technology, data and science furthering the state-of-the-art in human-robot interaction. The student design competition is open to everyone; the deadline is December 10.

Autism Science Foundation awards grant to PEERbots to expand robot-powered telehealth solutions
