How to Obtain Colorado Real Estate License
To qualify for a Colorado real estate broker license youÌýwill need to have:
- 168 hours of education, or

as a substitute, aÌýdegree from an accredited college or university with a major course of study in real estate – original transcripts must be provided upon application, however unofficial transcripts may be submittedÌýif you haven't takenÌýthe broker’s exam yet.ÌýÌý
- a passing grade in national and state portions of the Colorado Real Estate Broker's Exam
- complete aÌý

Real Estate Broker License Exam
If you have completed the real estate certificate or a major in real estateÌýwith theÌýMichael A. Klump Center for Real Estate, you are qualified (see above) forÌýthe broker license exam.ÌýTo register for the exam, please visit .ÌýPlease select your State (Colorado) and from the drop down menu select CO Broker. The CU Real Estate Center does not offer classes for the broker license nor is it a testing site for the exam.

Test Prep for Broker LicenseÌý
Many students find it helpful to take a test prep course before they sit for the real estate broker exam. You should have gained the most knowledge you need for the test in all of your courses at CU-ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, but the test prepÌýcourse will help you specifically pass the exam. Many entities offer these types of crash courses.ÌýÌýand theÌýÌýare both schools that students have used in the past.Ìý
