CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ SoundWorks

Welcome to SoundWorks at the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ College of Music!

CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ SoundWorks is a concert series-meets-forum for the creation and performance of new and original works by student composers, improvisers, performers and collaborators from the College of Music, as well as a space to celebrate works by living composers beyond the CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ community. SoundWorks values a broad aesthetic range of sound-based art inclusive of all genres and manners of music making—from concert music to songwriting to electroacoustic to jazz and beyond. We strive to contribute to our broader communities, both local and national, through our art and conversations.

SoundWorksÌýhas welcomed many guests over the years, including Ursula Oppens, Nina Young, Alarm Will Sound, Bang on a Can All-Stars, Eighth Blackbird, HOCKET, ~Nois and annual appearances by the ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Altitude Directive and the college’s Wind Symphony. Concerts are staged in Grusin Music Hall with special events in the ATLAS B2 Center for Media, Art andÌýPerformance, and other venues.

Student composers and performers work with individual coaches and also get professional multicam video and audio recordings of all their works.
