In addition to extensive, specialized research facilities located within each group's laboratory, members of the ECEE department have access to a variety of shared user facilities in the Engineering Center and across the CU-葫芦娃视频 campus to enable state-of-the-art research, including:
The Colorado Shared Instrumentation in Nanofabrication and Characterization (COSINC). COSINC is a multidisciplinary core research facility and service center, within the College of Engineering and Applied Science, that provides access to state-of-the-art equipment in the areas of micro and nanofabrication, nanomaterials characterization and metrology and offers expertise and advanced hands-on training in the same related areas.听
.听The W. M. Keck Optical Measurement Laboratory provides a suite of general purpose optical measurement and characterization instruments to the researchers at JILA. It also includes nanofabrication facilities. The Keck Lab was designed to support research at JILA, but under certain conditions the facility is also available to other University of Colorado researchers and local industry.
The Biochemistry Shared Instruments Pool听in the Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building provides听access to a multitude of instruments and techniques including EPR, CD and fluorescence spectroscopy, DLS, Sec-MALS and ITC. It also听houses a variety of additional equipment, such as imaging systems, centrifuges, scintillation counter, sonicator and more.
