Your Preregistration Items

This first preregistration page contains three sections:

Both a home and a local address are required.

  1. Home: You probably already have a home address in the system; confirm that it's correct. To make a change, select "Edit." If you have an international address, be sure to select "Change Country."
  2. Local: If you know the address you'll be at while taking classes this semester, select "Add a New Address" to provide it.
    • If not, re-enter your home address for now and replace it later by following the steps on Update Your Contact Information.
    • If you don't have a U.S. address, you may enter the university's address (2055 Regent Dr., ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ, CO 80309) for now and replace it later by following the steps on Update Your Contact Information.
  3. Tick the verification checkbox.

A cell/mobile number is required.

  1. Select "Add a Phone Number" to provide your domestic cell/mobile number (phone numbers requiring a country code are not accepted). If you don't have a domestic cell number, enter 000-000-0000.
  2. A home phone number is not required; however, if one is listed, confirm that it's correct.
  3. Tick the verification checkbox.

Emergency Contacts

If you're involved in or experience a health or safety emergency, the university will contact whoever is listed here. At least one emergency contact is required.

  1. Select "Add an Emergency Contact" and enter the information for your primary contact.
  2. If there are other people you'd like to include as emergency contacts, add them as other contacts.
  3. Tick the verification checkbox.
  4. Select "Continue" to move on.

Emergency Alert Translation

You have the option to receive emergency alerts in languages other than English. This optional selection only applies to emergency alerts sent by email and text message, and will not apply to safety alerts, advisories or other official communications you receive from CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ.

To change your preferred language for emergency alerts:

  1. In the "Emergency Alert Language Preference" section, choose from the available translation language options in the "Preferred Language" dropdown.
  2. Select "Continue" to move on.

Students at CU ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ are obligated to pay all tuition, fees and charges, as outlined in the tuition and fee agreement and disclosure. For details or to download a copy of the agreement, see Payment Agreement on the Bursar's Office website.

  1. Read the disclosure carefully.
  2. Click "I Agree" to move on.

This is the last page of preregistration for out-of-state and graduate students. Undergraduate Colorado residents proceed to a third preregistration page.

This page only appears for undergraduate Colorado residents; all other students have now completed preregistration.

Now that you've applied for and been granted a COF stipend, you need to authorize CU to apply it to your tuition and fees bill.

  1. Find the correct term and click "Update Authorization."
  2. Tick the checkbox next to "Authorize," then click "Submit."
  3. Click "Confirm."
  4. Click "Continue to Enroll" to complete preregistration.

You can authorize COF or revoke your authorization at any time.

The College Opportunity Fund (COF), created by the Colorado Legislature, provides a stipend that pays a portion of total in-state tuition for eligible undergraduate students who attend a Colorado public institution or a participating private institution.

There's no limit to the number of eligible students who receive COF, and you never have to pay it back.

  1. Follow the link to apply for COF.
  2. Select "Continue to Enroll" to complete preregistration.
