AFCA+A
Americas for Conservation + the Arts is one of the very few Latina founded and led organizations of its mission and size in the state of Colorado — and the country — fighting systemic racism in the conservation and creative workspaces, leveraging arts and culture for DEI gains. We do this through three award winning flagship programs: · The Promotores Verdes Conservation Corps (growing outdoor recreation led climate literacy and human-nature health connections) co-leading the Tree Keepers 2022-2025 initiative with the City of Denver · The Americas Latino Eco Festival (movement building convening of BIPOC conservation and creative leadership), now in its 13th edition.
· Mandel Vilar Press (advancing diversity and conservation in the book economy), releasing its 50th book this Spring 2023.
AFC+A’s award winning Promotores Verdes Youth program works transnationally with programming in Colorado, Puerto Rico, Mexico and expanding to indigenous communities in Peru. We work with community leaders, schools and conservation agencies to advance natural literacy and climate action.

ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Council For International Visitors
ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ Council for International Visitors (BCIV) was founded in 1962 as a non-profit volunteer organization with a focus on citizen diplomacy. It was founded to encourage understanding and friendship between the community and its visitors from abroad. The BCIV program consists of hosting short-term international visitors for professional and cultural exchange and offering social events for ºù«ÍÞÊÓƵ residents to meet these visitors such as potluck and home hospitality dinners. BCIV is part of a national network of organizations that program visitors that are in the U.S. State Department's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). BCIV is also a member of Global Ties U.S, a national network of international exchange.
